AruDoo

Your data

Privacy Policy

AruDoo only works if people are willing to say what they need and where they are. This page says exactly what we keep, who can read it, and how to have it changed or removed.

The short version

  • We keep the details you type: your account, your listing, your job requests and your reviews.
  • A provider profile is public — that is how customers find and compare people. Your email and password are not.
  • The job address and notes you send go to the provider you chose, so they can quote and show up.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers on AruDoo.

01Who is behind AruDoo

AruDoo is run by the team behind this website. We decide what personal data is collected and why, which makes us the data controller for the accounts, listings, requests and reviews you create here. Questions about that role: Info@AruDoo.com.

02What we collect

Only what the service actually needs to work:

  • Account — your email address and a protected password record. If you join with Google, we receive your Google email and name instead of a password.
  • Provider listing — display name, trade and category, district and area covered, hourly rate, years of experience, languages, whether you hold a licence, your short bio, and your availability.
  • Job requests — what you need done, the date and time window, the address you give us, your notes, and the status of the job.
  • Reviews and ratings — the stars you pick, the text you write, and which completed job it belongs to.
  • Signing in and basic protection — a session record in your browser so you stay signed in, and the standard server logs our hosting provider keeps to keep the service running and spot abuse.

03Why we use it

To show your listing to people searching your trade and district, to pass a request to the provider you picked, to keep availability and job status accurate, to let only real completed jobs be reviewed once, and to keep the service secure and working. Where we need your consent — for example when you publish a listing — you can withdraw it by unpublishing.

04Who can see what

A provider profile is public and can appear in search results: display name, trade, district, rate, bio, languages, experience, availability, star rating and reviews. That visibility is the point of the service, so publish only what you are happy for anyone to read.

Your email address, password, and account identifiers are never shown on a profile. A customer sees the address, job description and notes you send them — and the provider sees the same for the job they are quoting — because that is what makes the visit possible. Reviews are shown with the first name or short label you give, not your email.

05Who we share it with

AruDoo runs on managed hosting and database services that store and process data for us, which may be outside Aruba. If you join with Google, Google handles that sign-in. If we are legally required to hand something over, or to protect someone from serious harm, we may disclose what the request asks for.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

06How long we keep it

Your listing stays while your account is open — unpublish it and it leaves search straight away. Requests and reviews stay as part of the service history so ratings stay honest, unless you ask us to remove them and removal is possible without breaking the record of a real job. Account data is kept until you close the account, plus only as long as the law requires us to keep something.

07Your choices

You can see and fix your details any time: providers edit or hide their listing from "My listing", and you can correct a job request by sending a new one. You can ask us to correct, export or delete your personal data, and you can object to us processing it. Email Info@AruDoo.com or call/WhatsApp +297 562 5623 from the address on the account and say what you want; we may ask you to confirm it is you.

If you think we mishandled your data and we have not put it right, you can also raise it with the authority that supervises personal data protection in Aruba.

08How we protect it

Passwords are stored as protected records, never as readable text. The site and the database are reached over encrypted connections. Access rules are set so a signed-in person can read and change only their own listing and their own data — a published listing can be read by anyone, but only its owner can edit it. No system is perfectly safe, so use a password you do not reuse elsewhere and tell us if you think your account has been used by someone else.

09Adults only, and children's information

AruDoo is for people 18 and over. Please do not put a child's full name, school, date of birth, medical details or photographs into a job request, a bio or a review — describe what is needed in general terms instead ("two children, ages 4 and 7, need pick-up at 3 pm"). Providers who work with children are responsible for their own checks and safeguarding.

10Cookies and tracking

AruDoo keeps the small session record your browser needs to keep you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no ad networks and no third-party marketing trackers running on the site. Clearing your browser data signs you out, which is expected behaviour.

11If this policy changes

When it does, this page gets the new wording and a new "last updated" date, and any change that matters to you is also announced in the app or by email.

This page explains the rules for using AruDoo. It is not legal advice, and it does not change anything you agree privately with a provider.
