AruDoo

The rules

Terms and Conditions

These terms apply whenever you use AruDoo in Aruba, whether you are hiring a pro or offering your own service. They are written to be read once and understood — here is what they say.

The short version

  • AruDoo connects you with independent local pros. AruDoo does not do the work.
  • A request is an enquiry. A job is only booked when the provider confirms it.
  • Rates are hourly in Aruban florins and are starting points — agree scope and final price before work starts.
  • Payment is arranged directly between you and the provider. AruDoo does not take money.

01What AruDoo is

AruDoo is an online directory and request service that helps people in Aruba find independent service providers — handymen, landscapers, cleaners, electricians, child carers, tutors, pet carers, pool technicians, tow operators, laundry services and other trades — and send them a request for a job.

AruDoo is not a provider, a contractor, an employer or an agent, and is not a party to any job. The agreement for the work — price, timing, scope, guarantees — sits between the customer and the provider. AruDoo is not responsible for performing, supervising or warranting any service listed here.

02Who can use AruDoo

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these terms and use the account. If you use AruDoo for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business to these terms.

03Your account

Give accurate details and keep them current. Keep your password private and do not share access. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you believe someone else has used it.

One provider account per person or registered business. Do not create accounts to dodge a restriction or to post duplicate listings.

04Listings, and licences we do not check

Providers are solely responsible for what their listing says: the trade, hourly rate, districts covered, languages, experience, licences, availability and photos. Listings must be truthful and kept up to date. Providers must hold every licence, permit and registration that Aruba requires for the work they offer, and must carry their own insurance where the law or common sense calls for it.

AruDoo does not verify provider licences, permits or qualifications. Anything a listing says about a licence is the provider's own statement. Customers should ask to see proof before hiring for work that legally requires it. Nothing on AruDoo is a background clearance, a guarantee of conduct, quality or safety, an endorsement, or a promise that the provider will turn up. Never treat a listing as a substitute for your own judgement — ask questions, agree the job in writing, and start with a small task if you do not know someone yet.

05Requests, quotes and bookings

Sending a request is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking and not a contract for the work. A job is booked when the provider accepts your request or otherwise confirms the job to you. A provider may offer a different date, time or price, and you may accept or decline.

Prices shown on AruDoo are hourly rates in Aruban florins (Afl.) and are starting points. Materials, travel, a minimum number of hours, waste disposal, weekend or emergency premiums and extra work found on site are usually not included. Before work starts, agree what is included, how the job will be charged and who supplies materials. Keep your own copy of quotes, confirmations and receipts.

06Payment

Payment is arranged and made directly between the customer and the provider. AruDoo does not process payments, hold deposits or funds in escrow, take a commission from the job, or guarantee refunds. AruDoo also does not approve or set the prices providers choose.

Invoices, receipts, and any tax obligations arising from the work (including BBO where it applies) are the responsibility of the provider for the services they supply. Pay only what you agreed, and get the agreed price in writing before the job begins.

07Fees and subscriptions

Using AruDoo as a customer is free: searching, comparing providers, sending a request and leaving a review cost nothing.

A provider listing is free for the first three months from the day it is created. After that a listing costs Afl. 25 per month to stay visible in search, or less if you pay ahead: Afl. 125 for six months or Afl. 250 for twelve. Payment is made to AruDoo by bank transfer to the account published on the pricing page, and is marked against your listing once received; this fee is for the listing only and is separate from anything a customer pays you for a job.

If a period is not paid, the listing simply stops appearing in search — the profile, its content and its reviews are kept, and it returns as soon as payment resumes. There is no contract and no notice period: stop paying, or tell us, and the listing lapses. Fees already paid are not refunded for part of a month or part of a paid period, and a discounted period is not refunded at the monthly rate. We will give notice before changing the price.

08Cancelling and rescheduling

Tell the other side as early as you can if a job changes — that is what allows a provider to refill the day and a customer to find someone else. Any cancellation fee, deposit or rebooking charge is a private arrangement between customer and provider; if you want one, agree it before the job and keep it in writing. AruDoo is not involved in settling it.

09Reviews and ratings

Reviews may be left by customers who actually completed a job with that provider, and only once per job. A review must reflect your own honest experience of that job.

  • No fake, paid, incentivised or competitor reviews.
  • No abusive, threatening, discriminatory or personal-attack language.
  • No personal data — home addresses, phone numbers, or details about children.
  • No reviews as leverage in a price dispute; settle that with the provider directly.

AruDoo can remove or hide content that breaks these rules and can restrict a listing that attracts serious or repeated complaints. Ratings shown are the average of the reviews we display and are not a quality certification.

10Safety, property and access

You decide who you let onto your property and what they may access. Secure valuables and documents, keep pets and children supervised, and make sure someone you trust knows who is coming and when. For childcare, tutoring and pet care, trust your own instincts as well as any profile information.

Providers must work lawfully and safely: correct tools and materials, safe methods, and no work beyond what they are qualified and permitted to do — especially with electricity, gas, roofs, lifting and towing. If something goes wrong on a job, raise it with the provider first, then let us know so we can act on the listing.

11Things you must not do

When using AruDoo, do not: offer or request illegal, unlicensed or dangerous services; harass, threaten, discriminate against or defraud anyone; impersonate a person or business; copy or harvest the directory, provider details or reviews for another service or for bulk marketing; spam or message providers outside the request flow; post someone else's personal data; upload malicious code; attempt to access another account or bypass a verification step; or use a listing to lure someone off-platform for a scam.

12Content you post

You keep ownership of the text, photos and reviews you submit. You give AruDoo permission to store, display and share that content inside the service — for example showing your name, trade, district, rate and reviews on a public profile, or your review on a provider's page. Providers can edit or unpublish a listing at any time; that stops it appearing in search, but does not undo what other users have already seen.

13Availability and changes to the service

AruDoo is provided "as is" and "as available". We can add, change or remove features, categories and the way results are ranked, and we can suspend access for maintenance, security or abuse investigations. We do not promise that any particular provider, listing or piece of content will always be there.

14Responsibility and limits

To the fullest extent Aruban law allows, AruDoo is not liable for a provider's acts or omissions, for the quality, safety or legality of work performed, for cancelled or unfinished jobs, for loss or damage to property, or for indirect and consequential losses such as lost income. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of Afl. 100 and any amount you paid AruDoo in the twelve months before the claim (at present, nothing is paid to AruDoo). Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused negligently, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

15Suspension and closing your account

We can warn you, hide a listing, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, misuses the checks, or puts other users at risk — and we can do so without notice where the risk is serious. You can stop using AruDoo at any time and ask us to delete your account and listing; we may keep records we are required to keep or that are needed to resolve a dispute.

16Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page gets the new wording and a new "last updated" date, and any material change is also announced in the app or by email. Using AruDoo after that date means you accept the updated terms.

17Governing law and how to reach us

These terms are governed by the laws of Aruba. If a dispute arises, both sides first try to resolve it in good faith — usually a short message thread is enough — and only then turn to the competent court in Aruba.

Questions about these terms, a listing you think is misleading, or a review you believe breaks the rules: email Info@AruDoo.com or call/WhatsApp +297 562 5623. Include the profile name and, for a job, the date — that is what lets us find it quickly.

This page explains the rules for using AruDoo. It is not legal advice, and it does not change anything you agree privately with a provider.
